As a Knicks fan, Michael Jordan was the bane of my existence—the immovable, unbeatable obstacle blocking my team's path to an NBA championship. And I was a Jordan aficionado like everyone else—I had the shoes, the posters, I read every article, etc.

Puma, as you may know, has the official Ferrari license and plasters it all over a range of shoes, accessories, and apparel. They clearly pay a fortune for the right to do so, and to be able to flaunt the tie-up.

Nike? Not a penny. And they're going to reap all the same benefits. Also, unlike the Ferrari Pumas, I'd actually rock the Jordans.

A limited number of the new AJ "Ferraris" went on sale at eight specially selected Foot Locker locations in Illinois on August 16. Wide release via Nike.com and at Jordan-brand brick-and-mortar retailers is set for Saturday, September 6, so you still have a couple days to decide whether they're worth the $200 MSRP and the effort required to cop 'em.

They'll only cost more in the secondary market. You know, like some other Ferraris.
